Complete Dentures
Complete dentures are dentures that are on an arch with no natural teeth. This type of denture is not implant-supported or retained. Due to the fact that there are no natural teeth in the arch the design and esthetic potential are much greater as it does not have to coordinate with nonadjustable natural teeth. Patients are usually very satisfied with the esthetic benefits of these dentures.

Removable Partial Dentures
Removable partial dentures replace the missing teeth in an arch where there is a presence of natural teeth. In this design, the natural teeth are utilized to provide stability, support, and retention to the denture. This allows for improved function for the patient with chewing. The partial denture also keeps the natural teeth in place. These teeth can shift toward a vacancy if there is not a partial denture or another type of retainer to keep them in place.

Implant Dentures
Implant Dentures are alike Complete Dentures or Partial dentures in that they replace missing teeth yet they are different in that they are stabilized with dental implants. This enables the patient to bite down much harder compared to a denture without such support. Patients are much more content with implant dentures than with their non-implant counterparts.

Immediate Dentures
At times extraction of teeth is not preventable. In this case, immediate dentures are made to fit over the extraction site immediately after the tooth or teeth are removed. This gives the patient an immediate esthetic solution. Also the immediate denture creates a barrier to keep food and other substances away from the socket where the tooth root was. This gives the mouth a chance to heal well.
Immediate dentures offer the patient a smooth transition to denture use. They can be used as a long term solution. Permanent soft liners can be added once healing has taken place.

Repairs, Rebases, & Relines
Dentures can get broken, become ill-fitting, or need material replacement. We look after all of these needs. Here is a brief description of solutions to these denture issues.
Repairs - Dentures are placed under great amounts of force in the mouth, sometimes they break. Other times they are dropped and fractured, in most cases, they can be repaired. We can provide care for these needs.
Rebase - Sometimes the pink material on a denture needs to be replaced. We refer to this denture base material as acrylic. Acrylic is porous in nature and sometimes needs to be replaced.
Relines - When dentures are used and the denture pushes down on the ridge, the ridges resorbe at a very slow rate. This adds up over time. Eventually, the dentures will not fit as well anymore. A reline adds material where the ridges have resorbed restoring good fit and comfort. It is wise to have a check-up every six months or year, to establish if it is time for a reline.

Soft Liners
One of the challenges in denture use is that the ridges are bearing forces of the patient biting. One strategy we have for dealing with this challenge is the use of soft liners. A soft liner acts as a buffer between the pink material on the denture and the patient's ridges to increase the patient's comfort.
