PROFESSIONAL RESOURCES

Attempting to replace anatomy with a prosthetic is an astronomical task at the best of times. Patient expectations can be unrealistic because they are used to innervated tissue and they can believe that an artificial replacement will be superior to their anatomy. We cannot innervate a denture. Also, they can be unaware of issues with retention, stability, and support of conventional dentures. This can create a burden on the care provider to deal with the misconceptions that patients may have about the limitations of prosthetics as well as feeling ethically responsible to do the very best that can be done. It is for these reasons that the DCC was founded.

We all face challenging cases. Replacing anatomy with an artificial substitute is never easy. We offer support to dentists and denturists with their challenging cases. We can share techniques via e-mail and if you call us we may be able to come to your office to get involved with your case. You can phone us at +1-647-702-5323 or email us at info@denturecraftersofcanada.ca
